TRACKING: Our Favorite Activity! In the Fall of 1998, Annette Guillaume introduced Tana, Mackie and Tassie to tracking. We have come to love this sport. It is as exciting for Tana as it is for the dogs when they are tracking and finding the articles that a track layer has left for them. Mackie certified on a very windy, snowy, Colorado Day. It was snowing so hard we could not see where our track layer had been 30 minutes before. When she took the test for the TD, the weather was just the opposite: a very hot, windy, dry day. Mackie proved that she could track no matter what the conditions. Tana was very proud to pass the TD on their first try. Mackie earned the TD on October 31, 1999 at Chatfield State Park in Colorado. Tassie was tracking certified. Mackie earned her TDX November 1, 2003. Mackie became the first Dal to pass a VST and earn the title of Champion Tracker on May 22, 2005. Jordi passed his TD on his first attempt October 26, 2003 at 13 months of age. In Oct. 2009 he passed a VST test (1st time out) and TDX test in Nov. 2009 to become a Champion Tracker. Sadie earned her TD on April 6, 2008 and her VST Oct. 16, 2011 and her TDX in 2012 making her a Champion Tracker. Joie got her TD in Mar. 2012. Brady became our 4th Champion Tracker when he passed his VST test at the Dalmatian National. The test was held at Denver West Office Park.
